ロバータ・フラックのベスト・アルバム。~
彼女は大学でクラシック・ピアノを勉強し、69年に「First Take」でデビュー、その中に入っている「The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face」が72年に映画「ダーティーハリー（名作！）」の主題歌になったりしています。~
(1)はたしかアル・Ｂ・シュア！もデビューアルバムでカヴァーしとりました。~
前述したダニー・ハサウェイと活動を共にしており、彼とデュエットしたキャロル・キングのカヴァー「You've Got A Friend」はオリジナルを越えようかという様な出来。~
80年代以降はデュエットものに力を発揮し、ピーボ・ブライソンとの「愛のセレブレイション」や、レゲエ畑のマキシ・プリーストとの「Set The Night To Music」などともすればブラック・ポップに走りがちですが、70年代に残した彼女の作品は永遠に色あせないでしょう。~
